Differences between  LED & Laser Teeth Whitening Lamps?

LED’s can be used by anyone.  

Lasers are powerful machines that can "only be used by dentists". Many people call lamps with blue LEDs lasers, but they are not a laser. 

Very few dentists use a real laser for teeth whitening.  

** Make sure when choosing  a "Teeth Whitening Salon", they are knowledgeable  with their products.

How long does each session last?  

Session times are 20, 40 and 60 minutes, depending upon the shade of your teeth.  The sessions are completed back to back-consecutively, within the same appointment date/time.

Does teeth whitening work?

Yes, teeth whitening does work on natural teeth that have experienced surface and/or subsurface stains from eating, drinking or smoking and age.

Will the Teeth Whitening sessions work on Crowns, Veneers, and Bonding?

Yes, the teeth whitening will remove stains from existing dental work, although it will only take it back to its original color (not whiter).

Does this hurt or cause sensitivity?

The majority of clients feel no pain or sensitivity.  To avoid this, Malibu uses Aloe Vera and Vitamin E Swabs ~ applied on your gums, each session.

 Is this Safe?

Scientific research has shown that the active ingredients in Malibu whitening gels are safe and effective and have been used throughout the dental and cosmetic community for years.

How does the process work?

Malibu Teeth Whitening’s process does not change or damage the structure of the teeth.  It merely, lifts and removes the stains, making your teeth whiter. 

How white will my teeth get?

Teeth shading will whiten and brighten from 3 - 20+ shades, depending upon the sessions completed (20, 40 or 60) and your current starting shade/tooth composition.  If you have whitened in the past, your dietary habits, age has factors... 

Everyone’s teeth are different and all have a natural stop point.

Malibu recommends “3 sessions” to get the optimal difference, if needed.

How long does teeth whitening last?

Average results after a Malibu Teeth Whitening, will last 6 months to 1 year  ~ and ~ this also depends entirely upon your own tooth enamel and lifestyle ~
